KNA unanimously voted to change its name to Iraq's Kurdistan Parliament.

Members of the Kurdistan National Assembly (KNA) (parliament) on Wednesday unanimously voted to change its name to Iraq's Kurdistan Parliament.

"This happened during an extraordinary session held under Speaker Adnan Mufti," the correspondent of Aswat al-Iraq said.

"The total number of the Kurdish lawmakers is 111," he added.

"This session assigned to hold a number if amendments to the elections law in the region, including determining the member's ago to 25 and above," Adnan Mufti said.

"Among the amendments; changing the name of the Kurdistan National Assembly to Iraq's Kurdistan Parliament, according to the law number 1 of 1992," he added.
